Our appraisals are evaluated by Atlantic Canada’s Premier Jewellery Appraiser, Lawrence Hartnett, with over 40 years of experience. Lawrence operates his gem lab within La Mine d'Or Halifax Showroom, ensuring meticulous evaluation.

 

Meet Lawrence Hartnett:

Lawrence Hartnett's extensive background includes roles as a store manager and diamond department manager for Birks Jewellers, as well as serving as a diamond buyer and appraiser for Charm Diamond Centres. Lawrence, along with his wife, Jane, brings experience and personal integrity to ensure the most accurate and fair appraisals for insurers, jewellery stores, and private owners in the Maritimes.

Credentials:

- Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA)

- Accredited Appraiser, the highest level recognized by the Canadian Jewellers Association (CJA), also known as a Certified Appraisal Professional (CAP)

- Registered Jeweller with the American Gem Society (AGS)

- Completion of the Master Valuer Program for Gems & Jewellery Appraisals (CJA)
