An important requirement for all our Sales Associates is to achieve the Accredited Jewellery Professional (AJP) designation from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). We are ready to assist you with personalized service for all your fine jewellery and watch needs.

La Mine d'Or began in 1979 with our company founder, Paul Cormier, selling jewellery and gold from his suitcase. Paul was a larger-than-life character with a charismatic personality who was appreciated by the community he served. After two years, Paul opened the first La Mine d'Or store. His vision of dedication to the local community and superior customer service laid the foundation for the business. The same viewpoint exists today. Our company name, La Mine d’Or, has roots in our founder’s proud Acadian heritage.

La Mine d'Or operates within the walls of a century-old Victorian style heritage building, circa 1890. You will easily find us at 41 Botsford Street, a convenient location at the center of downtown Moncton adjacent to Moncton City Hall. Originally constructed as a house, it was tranformed into a commercial space in the late '90s. We moved to the landmark in the 2000s and has since remained a company owned property.
